On Sunday, the Hebrew University will host a public lecture "Why" on game theory based on decision-making in multiplayer situations

The eighth season of the "Why" interdisciplinary lecture series initiated by the Authority for Community and Youth at the Hebrew University has opened. In lectures, academics share their research areas with the general public. On Sunday, November 18, the lecture will be held - "The Theory of Games: Matchmaking and Betrayals, Football Exchange... and Smart Radio as well" under the guidance of Prof. Sergio Hart from the Institute for the Study of Rationality of the Hebrew University.

Prof. Hart will talk about game theory based on decision making in multiplayer situations. In these situations each player bases his decision on the action of the other player, while striving for the best result for him. Prof. Hart will demonstrate the application of game theory in everyday life.

The lectures are open to the general public and take place once every two weeks at 17:00, in the Weiss Hall, Edmond Y. Safra Campus, Givat Ram. The entrance is free.
