One of the space station crew members was forced to postpone a spacewalk for a month during the construction process of the International Space Station. This was stated by a senior official of the Russian space agency on Wednesday. Nikoli Bryuchkov, chief engineer at the Aussie control center did not say whether it was the American astronaut Kenneth Bevarsoks or the Russian Nikoli Budarin.
The doctors were concerned about the condition of one of the team members, he said, they did not disclose who it was for reasons related to medical ethics. According to him, the spacewalk planned for December 12 was moved to January.
"They had to do something with the beam that was brought in on the previous flight, but so far we don't know exactly what the problem was with it, Kryotskov said.

Senior officials at NASA, who also defended medical confidentiality, said that they are not releasing details about an illness that affected one of the astronauts. According to them, the postponement will not cause drama as happened last week when the Endeavor spacecraft was delayed until the last possible moment in space due to weather conditions.

In the meantime, NASA announces that after repair efforts by the previous crew of the space station, it was decided to return components from the scientific glove box for low-gravity studies. These components were returned for repair on the Endeavor spacecraft and will be returned to the space station on the next shuttle that will arrive there in a few months.
