A pea crop grew and even produced new seeds in the Russian Lada greenhouse aboard the International Space Station.
Members of Crew No. 7, the space station's current crew that includes newlywed cosmonaut Yuri Melanchenko and astronaut Edward Lu, will harvest the peas, which are part of a plant development program and part of genetic experiments. Afterwards, some of the seeds will be re-germinated on the station while the others will be sent back to Earth for further research.
