Scientists and research students from the Weizmann Institute of Science initiated a unique scientific conference, organized by students, and for students. The conference, under the title "Biology and Renewable Energy", is intended for research students from all academic institutions and research institutions in Israel. This is a growing community of young scientists, befitting the interdisciplinary nature of the research, coming from different fields of research and backgrounds. As a result, there was a need to provide the younger generation of scientists involved in the development of renewable fuels from a biological source, an opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas with their colleagues, and to learn about the latest developments and existing challenges in the field.

The conference program consists mainly of short student lectures, which will present the research currently being carried out in their laboratories. In addition, there will be invited lectures given by leading researchers from Israel and abroad, representatives of the Ministry of National Infrastructures, and representatives of Israeli companies involved in the development of biofuels. The lectures will deal, among other things, with the production of biodiesel and bioethanol, hydrogen production, artificial photosynthesis, government policy regarding the development of oil substitutes and their use, as well as the economic, ethical and ecological aspects of the use of alternative fuels.

The conference will be held between December 9-6, at Ramot Hotel, Golan Heights.

The conference is supported by the Sustainable Alternative Energy Research Initiative at the Weizmann Institute of Science, headed by Prof. David Kahan, and by the Biofuels Consortium at the Weizmann Institute of Science, headed by Prof. Avi Levy. The conference was organized by Biluiris Margalit from the Department of Plant Sciences and Little Davidi from the Department of Biological Chemistry at the Weizmann Institute of Science.

More information about the conference can be found On the Weizmann Institute website

  1. Let's put these bacteria in you and see how they behave... what do you say?

The bacteria think and communicate with each other, it was proven by a professor from Tel Aviv University, in a presentation he made before Microsoft people, and it was published widely!

Our brain is capable of learning any language, human or animal!: English, Hebrew, Zabit or any language, especially at a young age.
Therefore, it is likely that he also learned the language of the bacteria, which communicate with each other, and think, and their body weight is 3 kg in our bodies!
The bacteria usually live in our bodies in symbiosis, and in huge quantities, therefore it is likely that between friends and enemies there is a common language!
If we find such bacteria, for example from space, that have adapted to live in extreme living conditions: in the cold and without air and oxygen, it is likely that they had other ways unknown to us, that they learned, to create energy!
You need to bring them and learn from them the way and apply!
    A. Copying their DNA on our computers, and manufacturing machines to produce energy!
    B. or by putting them in our bodies, and they will already teach our brains, the way to produce energy!
