The researchers developed an amplifier - a medium containing atoms that the photon coming from space passes through after the telescope key. The impact of the photon on the atom forces the atom to release a large number of photons identical to the original photon. The improvement in resolution will benefit any telescope, especially for medium-sized telescopes, and in particular for space telescopes

As part of the research published in Nature Materials, an innovative method was developed to measure the conversion efficiency of photons into mobile electric charges (electrons and holes) in semiconductors. With this method they discovered an unknown factor that limits the conversion efficiency of photons to electric current in iron oxide (hematite)

"Adlis-Samson": an autonomous satellite fleet that will locate signals on the surface of the earth with high precision. This is the first launch of three Israeli satellites at the same time. In an article published in the journal Nature Physics in early 2021, the research group showed that permanent (stationary) Hawking radiation was indeed emitted from the acoustic black hole. They measured 97,000 repetitions of the experiment, which is equivalent to 124 days of continuous measurement, and observed spontaneous Hawking radiation at six different times after the formation of the acoustic black hole.
