The Russian spacecraft Luna 25 crashed on the moon a day before the planned landing. The spacecraft, designed to test whether the moon could support a permanent base for humans, crashed after entering an unexpected orbit, the Russian space corporation Roscosmos reported.

The unmanned spacecraft crashed after entering an uncontrolled orbit on its way to a landing planned for tomorrow in the south pole region of the moon. This is what the Russian space corporation Roscosmos reported today 20/8/2023. Yesterday, Russia reported an "unusual situation" that its experts analyzed.

Yesterday, 19/8/2023, in accordance with the flight plan of the Luna-25 spacecraft, it was planned to release an impulse to create an elliptical orbit before landing.

Roscosmos reported on social media channels that "on August 19, in accordance with the flight plan of the Luna-25 spacecraft, it was planned to release an impulse to create its elliptical orbit before landing. At around 14:57 Moscow time, communication with the Luna-25 spacecraft was terminated.

"The steps taken on August 19 and 20 to search for the device and communicate with it did not yield results. According to the results of the initial analysis, due to the deviation of the actual thrust parameters from the calculated ones, the spacecraft moved to an uncalculated trajectory and ceased to exist as a result of the collision with the lunar surface. The issues of clarifying the reasons for the loss of the "Moon" will be dealt with by a specially established inter-ministerial committee."

Russia had hoped the robot would spend a year collecting samples of rocks and dust after landing on the moon's south pole, scheduled for tomorrow, August 21, 2023.

  1. There is a base of aliens on the moon not for nothing from 67 to this day they have not flown there, there are records of astronauts. on the subject. The interesting thing is that every attempt to build a base on the moon has failed over the years and they haven't flown there since the first landing indicates something else there.

  2. This failure was expected. This spacecraft was supposed to be launched in 2016. Financial constraints and various problems during development resulted in many delays in the launch date. The spaceship had to be reset. Since a spacecraft is by its very nature a very sensitive device, it must be stored in sterile conditions, at a suitable temperature and plates, and endless tests of the integrity of the devices found in it. In everything related to logistics, routine maintenance and management, the Russians are very bad. It's all one big fart and this is the result.
