The research universities in Israel continue to strengthen the recruits and their spouses, and provide them and all residents of the State of Israel with support and assistance in a variety of local and national initiatives.

In order to support the student community, which includes the male and female reserve men and women and their spouses along with residents of conflict areas who were evacuated from their homes, families whose loved ones were murdered, kidnapped or injured - informs the Board of Heads of the Research Universities of postponing the start of the academic year of the TSF until the beginning of the release of those recruited into the reserves and not before The 24.12.23, when the two weeks before will be dedicated to organizing and helping to return to the academic routine.

The announcement refers to 7 of the research universities in Israel: the Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University, Bar Ilan University, Ben Gurion University, the Technion, Haifa University and Ariel University.
Regarding the Weizmann Institute and the Open University, other arrangements will apply and the details will be communicated to the student body by the institutions.

At the request of the Ministry of Health, and in order to allow the continuity of the activity of the health system in Israel, special arrangements will be put in place for medical students in clinical studies.

We aim for the school year to take place in its entirety and include two full semesters. As the need arises, the school year will also slide into the summer period. The individual decisions regarding the structure of the academic year will be made at each of the universities.
