Dassault Systèmes launched a virtual character (avatar), under the name Emma Twin, which was designed and developed to increase awareness of the key role that virtual twin technology plays in innovations that shape the future of medicine.

Emma Twine will appear as a character on social media, and through a rich content program, she will share stories explaining how her body's virtual twin was created from real data from anonymous patients, to be used in endless tests with the aim of giving doctors and researchers a deep understanding of diseases and the effectiveness of new and improved treatments.

The posts that Emma will share on social media will document her participation in research and medical innovations. For example: clinical trials using Medidata solutions; how her heart reacts to various procedures within the framework of the living heart project; Corneat Vision's corneal transplant testA groundbreaking Israeli startup) Epilepsy and Alzheimer's research in the Living Brain Project; Wearing the IASO medication management device; optimizing the home for the elderly. Emma Twine will also be posting about DAMAE Medical's portable microscope for skin cancer detection; Dynocardia's blood pressure monitoring solution; FEops' cardiac monitoring solution; LUCID Implants' customized facial implants and VORTHEx's radiotherapy imaging experience.

"Through Emma Twin, we will share stories about the importance of virtual twins in the field of medicine, in an intriguing and inspiring way," said Victory de Margery, Vice President, Corporate Capital, Marketing and Communications, Dassault Systèmes. “Our virtual twins have been used to rapidly develop COVID-19 vaccines to streamline surgical procedures and provide a better picture of treatment options for patients. Our technology is a breakthrough technology and it puts a spotlight on the challenges facing the world of medicine and demonstrates how the virtual world improves results in real life.

For 40 years, Dassault Systèmes' virtual twins have been providing evolving, data-enriched XNUMXD models that reproduce reality with scientific precision and are used to test and improve performance virtually. These models have succeeded in accelerating sustainable innovations that improve the quality of life of consumers, citizens and patients.

Virtual twins accelerate the development of solutions for urgent needs for more preventive and more accurate medicine. The virtual twins allow research and professions related to medicine to create models of the human body, and treat them with the same degree of accuracy, safety and efficiency - as is done with virtual models used in the automotive, aviation and construction industries.

Emma Twine is a new phase in the campaign "The Only Progress is Human” of Dassault Systèmes, dedicated to medical care and patient experience. The Only Progress is Human was launched in 2020, with the aim of raising awareness of social and environmental challenges and inspiring the use of virtual worlds to drive sustainable innovations in areas such as urbanization and water conservation.
