Prof. Levenberg is a world-renowned researcher in tissue engineering, who developed technologies to create tissue for transplantation in damaged areas of the muscle, heart, bone and spinal cord. Recently, she introduced technology to create an engineered ear to replace ears that did not develop properly. In recent years, she has harnessed her research to create cultured meat as well, and the company established based on her research (Alf Farms) has already introduced the world's first full-size cultured entrecote steak.

Over the years, Prof. Levenberg won many awards, including the Bruno Prize and the Rapaport Prize, registered dozens of patents and founded several start-up companies. She was the president of the Israeli Society for Stem Cells and until recently the dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering.
