Manage technology companies worth a billion dollars and more. The Technion ranks seventh in the world - and the only one outside the United States in the top ten

The list is led by the American universities Princeton, Harvard and Stanford. The Technion, which shares seventh place with MIT, RICE University and the University of Texas at Austin, is the only institution on the list from outside the US.

If you are a Technion graduate, you have a great chance of serving as CEO of one of the largest American technology companies in the world. This is according to a new ranking of universities published by the financial news network Bloomberg at the end of the week. The ranking was based on examining the academic background of 250 CEOs of leading technology companies, whose market value exceeds one billion dollars.

The list is led by the American universities Princeton, Harvard and Stanford. The Technion, which shares seventh place with MIT, RICE University and the University of Texas at Austin, is the only institution on the list from outside the US.

About the Technion it was written in the review: "Israel is one of the centers of global technological start-ups. The best minds in the fields of technology received their training at the Technion. The establishment of the Technion-Cornell Innovation Center in New York is evidence of the Technion's commitment to the advancement of technology."

In the news published by the Bloomberg network, Technion graduate David Rice, who serves as the CEO of Stratasys, which manufactures 1,500D printers, was cited as an example. The company, which employs XNUMX people worldwide and has offices in Israel and the USA, is considered a leading technology company in the USA.

Following the publication, Technion President Professor Peretz Lavi said: "The Technion's ranking by the Bloomberg network, and the Technion's flattering ranking by Shanghai University, point to its high level and top status in the world. About a quarter of Technion graduates serve in senior management positions. The Technion has a place of honor in Israel's transformation into a startup powerhouse."
